Above What We Ask or Think by Pastor Dana Johnson

I’ve had it with asking God for the minimum. Sometimes I have this thought: “If I ask God for something too big, it will seem like arrogance or pride.” You know what? I’m not letting that stupid thought call the shots anymore. At least not when it comes to telling children about our awesome heavenly Father! I recently began to pray about reaching kids for the kingdom of God and found myself at that place again. How many kids should I ask God to allow me to reach with the truth about Him? I decided to take the plunge and ask Him for what I REALLY wanted to see. It sounded like this: “Father, please allow me to reach millions of kids with the truth about You. I want to see a stadium full of children singing their hearts out to You.”

I know that may sound preposterous to you, but guess what? It does to me, too. It’s impossible and out of reach without God making it happen, so that’s it! No more small, undersized requests when it comes to reaching kids with the gospel. Are you with me on this? I hope so! Please ask for big things when you pray about the kids who desperately need to find Jesus. They’re living in an insecure world, and we have the answer. Let’s bring that answer to millions of kids if God will allow!
